I have been a secondary school teacher in Germany for over 15 years, working at the intersection of education, technology and school development. I am not interested in innovation for its own sake, but in approaches that actually work in everyday school practice.
What I work on
With a focus on feasibility, sustainability and real impact within the education system.
- sparks4school Foundation (non-profit) – Developing sustainable, practice-oriented educational projects.
- SchulGPT / Xplify – An AI-based tool for teachers and schools. Currently used in vocational education; a version for general education schools is being piloted.
- Teacher training & professional development – Resources and workshops on AI and digital education for educators.
About
As a secondary school teacher, a member of the Chaos Computer Club, and co-founder of the non-profit sparks4school Foundation, I combine pedagogical practice with technical expertise and social responsibility. My work focuses on learning formats that are effective in real-world school contexts, such as the BEAM program.
I live with my family in Heidelberg and teach at Englisches Institut. For the school provider KBW-Gruppe, I oversee the strategic and pedagogically sound use of artificial intelligence. I am also involved in voluntary work with Chaos macht Schule and advise educational institutions at both national and international levels.
